In this situation, the net-to-shape carbide preform is required. We custom the shape near your cutter before sintering and after press or extruded, it is not big cost to do the grinding or shaping before sintering, but can save you lots time and money in post sintering machining.
T shape preform is the common preform style, the bigger step of the T cutter has, the more economic to get carbide preform instead of getting carbide rod blank.
